Mara Ellis Rayan
Mara Ellis Rayan (ing. Marah Ellis Ryan, qızlıq soyadı Martin) və ya Ellis Martin (27 fevral 1860[1], Batler (dairə, Pensilvaniya), Pensilvaniya[1] – 11 iyul 1934[2]) — ABŞ yazıçısı, aktrisası və aktivisti. O, hopi ilə yaşadıqdan sonra yerli amerikalılar üzərində etibarlı sayılırdı.

Mara Ellis Rayan Pensilvaniya ştatının Batler dairəsində Qrem və Sidni Meklinq Martinin ailəsində anadan olmuşdur. O, karyerasına Ellis Martin təxəllüsü ilə başlamış, bir neçə şeir və hekayə yazmışdır. Rayan 1883-cü ildə irlandiyalı aktyor və komediya ustası Semuel Ervin Rayan ilə evlənmişdir. O, 1889–1925-ci illər ərzində çoxsaylı romanlar yazaraq populyar yazıçı olmuşdur.[3]
Təxminən 1909-cu ildə Arizonada məskunlaşmış hopi xalqı arasında yaşamağa getmişdir. "New York Times"a görə, Rayan "gizli dini ayinlərə qəbul edilən yeganə ağdərili qadın olduğunu iddia etmişdir. O, ABŞ və Meksikada hindilərin qəbilə həyatında nüfuz sahibi kimi qeyd edilmişdir".[3]
Mara Ellis Rayan 68 yaşında Los-Ancelesdə ensefalitdən vəfat etmişdir.[3]
