English: Painting, removed from album; Imaginary portrait of Sultan Firuz Khalji, Khwaja Hasan, and a dervish. Sultan Firuz Khalji sits in a jeweled throne within the centre of the image, flanked on either side by subservient attendants (one kneels while the other stands). Void background. Two 'bubbled' inscriptions appear above the throne, with another above the standing attendent. Painted in opaque watercolour and gold on paper. Although his name is rendered improperly in the inscription above his throne, it seems likely that this is a portrait of Shaista Khan Jalaluddin Firuz Khalji, sultan of Delhi 1290-1296, with Khwaja Hasan, vizier of his predecessor. The dervish may be Sidi Maula, a leading shaykh of the late 13th century who was executed by Sultan Firuz.
