Devid İston
Devid İston (ing. David Easton 24 iyun 1917[2], Toronto – 19 iyul 2014[3]) — ABŞ[4] və Kanada politoloqu. O, ABŞ-də bu sahə üzrə qabaqcıl alimlərdən biri hesab edilir.

Həyatı redaktə
Devid İston 1917-ci ildə, o zaman Britaniya imperiyasının bir hissəsi olan Kanadanın Toronto şəhərində anadan olmuşdur. O, 1939-cu ildə Toronto Universitetində humanitar elmlər üzrə bakalavr dərəcəsi almışdır. İston Harvard Universitetində 1943-cü ildə magistr dərəcəsi və 1947 -ci ildə doktorluq dərəcəsi almışdır. O, elə həmin il Çikaqo Universitetində Siyasi Elmlər Departamentində assistent kimi əmək fəaliyyətinə başlamışdır. İston 1943–1947-ci illərdə Harvard Universitetində aspirantura müəllimi kimi çalışmışdır. O, 1981-ci ildən Kaliforniya İrvin Universitetində professor olmuşdur. İston 1968–1969-cu illərdə Amerika Siyasi Elmlər Assosiasiyasının prezidenti olmuşdur. O, 1984-cü ildə Amerika İncəsənət və Elmlər Akademiyasının vitse-prezidenti seçilmiş və 1990-cı ilə qədər bu vəzifəni tutmuşdur.[4]

Devid İston Silviya İzobel Viktoriya Constoun ilə evlənmişdir. Cütlüyün bir oğlu olmuşdur.[5]
