::::cavabBurocan You and I both know that the territory is in dispute even if we both think that it rightfully belongs to Azerbaijain (according to the belief of most of the international community). However, you don't meed to put "so-called" in front of it because it's redendant. It's their name. We don't call w:en:Lord Buckethead the "so-called Lord Buckethead" since the article already explains in the text that he isn't a real noble Lord.<br />"any military activity by the Armenian side is illegal according to the U.N." Vikipediya:Orijinal tədqiqata yer verməmək. &#8211;<span style="font-family:CG Times"><span style="color:black">MJL</span>&thinsp;⁓T-müzakirə⁓☖</span> 20:48, 27 oktyabr 2020 (UTC)
:::::cavab MJL Unfortunately, "the territory is in dispute" does not reflect the real situation. The fundamentals of the territorial integrity of a sovereign state are clearly specified in the Chapter I of the United Nations Charter, Article 2.4. Thus, You and I both know that the use of force against territorial integrity is called occupation in international law rather than a "dispute". In this case, the territory of a sovereign state has been occupied by another. Accordingly, there are 4 United Nations Security Council resolutions (822, 853, 874, 884) regarding the armed hostility and illegal martial activity of the Armenian Republic in the occupied Azerbaijani territories. In the light of these international documents, the Azerbaijani public, and the national press considers the emergence of such an organization illegal. Therefore, in order to indicate its illegitimacy the term "so-called" is utilized. Furthermore, this practice (the use of the term "so-called") is widespread in the EU as well. Namely, a condemnation declaration by the European Council regarding the separatist activities in Ukraine is asserted as the Declaration by the High Representative on behalf of the EU on the "elections" planned in the so-called "Luhansk People's Republic" and "Donetsk People's Republic" for 11 November 2018. Undoubtedly, all the given facts provide a rational basis for the users of Azerbaijani Wikipedia to include "so-called" in their work. By the way, due to my academic research background, I am well familiar with the core principals of the content research. ::::::Burocan cavab In what world do you live in that the territory is not in dispute? This is a dispute. A conflict. Müharibəsi.<br />There was a status quo where no one was fighting and killing (as much), but now that has changed. You're insistence that this is an occupation is irrelevant to that fact. Occupation is a precursor to war; it is not the dispute itself.<br />You have now presented me with cited evidence that in 1993, local Armenian forces invaded a portion of Azerbaijan and were later condemned by the United Nations. You have not presented any evidence that (1) those forces were actually the Nagorno-Karabakh Defense Army (though I have to imagine they are. They just were not mentioned by name or so-called name here) (2) that the action taken by the local Armenian forces was in fact illegal even if reprehensible, nor (3) the Nagorno-Karabakh Defense Army is actually an illegal organisation.<br />You are showing me a press release from a governmental organisation. Of course they are going to use "so called" in their naming of some unrecognised governments.. because they don't recognise those governments. However, we are not the government. We are an encyclopedia. No other language project of Wikipedia uses the term so-called in their article titles. That is because it is not VP:NM. Article titles are supposed to reflect what something is called and nothing else. This is not a radical concept. Titles identify the topic; they should not convey any more information besides that. It is an extremely poor practice to do otherwise and reflects poorly on your project in the global Wikimedia community. &#8211;<span style="font-family:CG Times"><span style="color:black">MJL</span>&thinsp;⁓T-müzakirə⁓☖</span> 04:48, 28 oktyabr 2020 (UTC)
