'''Xromatid''' — Xromatida (Yunan Xrōmat- "rəng" + -id), təkrarlanan xromosomun yarısıdır. Replikasiyadan əvvəl bir xromosom bir DNT molekulundan ibarətdir. Replikasiyada bir DNT molekulu kopyalanır və iki molekula xromatidlər deyilir. Hüceyrə bölgüsünün sonrakı mərhələlərində bu xromatidlər uzununa bölünür və ayrı -ayrı xromosomlara çevrilir.
