Rahim Huseynov was born on July 1, 1984 in the Zardab region. [1] In 1998-2001 he studied at the Jamshid Nakhchivanski Military High School. In 2001-2005 he studied at the Azerbaijan Higher Military School named after Heydar Aliyev. In 2005-2006 he studied at the Armed Forces Training and Education Center.
He was fluent in English, Russian and Armenian.

Martyr Major Rahim Huseynov was the commander of the Operational Capabilities Concept (OCC Bn) battalion within the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, which has successfully fulfilled its commitment to NATO.
Martyr Major Rahim Huseynov was awarded the NATO Meritorious Service Medal (NATO Meritorious Service) in 2020 as the Commander of the Azerbaijani Peacekeeping Contingent in NATO's Resolute Support Non-Military Mission in the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and the Hamid Karzai International Airport (HKIA) Forces Protection Battalion. is the first and only Azerbaijani officer to be awarded the medal).
